Terminal Velocity Poem by Carsten Thomsen

Terminal Velocity

Failing at near
terminal velocity
he dropped from the sky
having taken that
last step towards murder
from 7th floor
Coming to an
abrupt halt
to the
horror and screams
of onlookers
and
grinding of teeth
and lamentation
of owner of car
where he landed

Some claimed
he had gambled
and lost
a King's ransom
to men
you did not want
owing anything

All knew
crystal meth
was involved too

They say the number 1
cause of infant deaths
is God needing more
angels
Maybe the Devil
needs his
devils too

I will know
Soon enough

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
My dealer is not answering his phone, now I know why.

4 suicides and 2 murders in less than 2 years makes finding things to ponder and write about almost too easy in this area I call home...
