Test Of Patience Poem by Aminath Neena

Test Of Patience

I am dead tired
Haggard
Weary
Of this mishap
In this never ending façade
Of being trampled
In these whirl winds
Of the tempest
Howling fabricated lies
My femininity scrutinized
Under evil eyes
smothered under
smoky whispers
Of being locked
Behind unseen bars
Of endless examinations
Reaching infinity
Testing grounds lasting on
With no results
A journey travelled at sea
With no speck of land
Observed across the horizon
Of limping under
Boundless responsibilities
Of dangling on this cord
Naked and cold
Of being stranded on this island
With no hope of rescue
Of being a woman
forced to wear the shirt,
of a MAN
