Tether Sweet Dreams. Poem by Fay Slimm

Tether Sweet Dreams.

Rating: 5.0

Such tenuous hold have dreams
On reality, blowing
Aimlessly, galloping free.
They take unkindly to ties,
Prefering to fly, but catch
Them we can if we're wise.

Tethering dreams, only gold
Cascades, drifts then in gleaming
Star dust, which, handled dextrously
Sparkles, and while unfolding
Dresses us in night's ecstacy.

Sweet dreams, reigned in are a must.
Thus ideally we will see
The future rainbowed, visions
Of love will unfold, revealing
An undreamed-of bliss. - Hold then
Intangible dreams skintight
And re-live their magic again.

As this poem matured I could anticipate and now welcome the fine wine it has become. Lovely (as Fay would say) . Hxx
