Thank You Poem by Mary Sherrell Wesmorland

Thank You

If I die tonight
If my spirit soars in flight
There is something you need to know
Sincerely, this is no show
The time we share is my treasure
In hopes of knowing a little pleasure
I promise to not disappoint you
Surely, some will deceive you
But this would not be me
I have been disappointed myself, you see
you have my heart-it is yours
With a no return policy, of course
I bring you no sorrow
Neither today nor tomorrow
I am only me
And this is who I will always be
Thank you for letting me be part of your life
This is what I have to say
Remember me in this way
