Thanks For Alienating Me. Poem by Tiyani Shadrack Manganya

Thanks For Alienating Me.

Rating: 5.0

I walked into your heart,
So I felt unwelcomed.
I stripped my heart naked,
So you laughed at me like a joke.
I came to you like an angel,
So you treated me like a devil.
I came to you being myself,
So you put me on the shelf.
I never asked for suffering,
But you gave it to me as a ring.
I never begged for hardship,
But you forced it to me with friendship.
Thank you! Thank you for letting me fall,
Surely, I deserve all this pain.

This is a unique poem in which the lover is prepared to undergo any amount of pain. Kind of extreme sacrifice. I like the poem.
