Thanks To My Friends Poem by Jeff Law

Thanks to my friends,
For putting up with our questions
And what to say and how to say it
And our continous suggestions

I guess I would have done the same
If put in their position
But I know they’ve always liked each other
From before the expedition

They make a couple, you can see it in their eyes
Its no surprise, they lay till sunrise
And it’s no disguise to me or too others
First they were friends, now they are lovers

But now I ask them for a lending hand
To help me get the upper hand
She gives me things I haven’t felt in a while
I like her so much there’s no point in denial

I pick up the phone to give her a call
But I know if I do that I push her away
I don’t want her to leave, when she goes I say stay
But I’d rather be a friend than nothing at all

So I go to my friends to get me some closure
And I sit and I wait whilst I gather composure
If she tells me she don’t want it, my tears will tingle
But at the end of the day I’ll be happy, I’ll be single

The whole point of this short poem is
I’m so happy that you two had your first kiss
And I hope that my first is in the future
But I thank you two, you couldn’t be cuter

So anyway good luck, I’ll be there in hard times
But I’m sure you’ll walk over those bridges when you cross
And I’ll support you both with my romantic rhymes
And maybe one day, she’ll find me and I wont be lost

For my two mates Andy and Sam
I’m so happy I met you both and it worked
