That Day I Miss Poem by Dillon Keuthonymos Crawford

That Day I Miss

The day I slept with you in my arms
Was the day my heart was whole
My life was complete
My body couldn’t let go
But now I lie
With empty arms
Hoping one day
You’re coming back
To sleep next to me
Under blanket of stars
Blanket of cloth
Blanket of air
Anything will do
When I’m sleeping here with you
