That Last Moment Poem by Arko Chakraborty

That Last Moment

When did I miss you dear?
I could always hear you
In those last words,
That a dew whispered to a leaf -
Before she vaporised.

When did I miss you dear?
I could always smell you
In that pale stale tulip,
When she bade to all new buds -
Farewell for ever.

When did I miss you dear?
I could always feel you
In those warm green evening miles,
waiting to be rendered cold -
Soon by a long dark night.

I did miss you dear -
When i realized
Life is as transient
As that flickering moment,
When your eyes beheld me no more...
