That Needle Poem by Vera Sidhwa

That Needle

That needle

That needle was not in that haystack.
That needle was all over the world.
We chased it inside and out.
We chased it in and out.

We loved to find that needle
And look all over the world
But it stayed unseen forever.
It stayed hidden by all means.

You see that needle had fun
Watching us being perplexed.
But it wanted to be found.
It wanted to be free of scrutiny.

I loved to chase that needle
All over this world.
But oops that needle
Was right beneath me all unfurled.
