That Night Poem by Kasia Fedyk

There was something special about that night
the sky was full of stars, moments before they were invisible.
I fought with myself that day
A tornado twirling inside of me
I fought does fears, confused, not able to understand
emotions overflowed my being, I needed answers
I did not know what to do
only my heart in communication with God
I saw the stars, the brilliance of tiny beads spread across the dark sky
My face lifted up to heavens and my heart escaped into Gods hands
I needed His answer, longed for his embrace
In silence I heard His voice
and that instant I knew, it was so simple
smile lit up my face, for touch of God will do that; you know
A moment without a doubt
I knew the answer, it was there all along
sometimes we have to experience the pain
to realize what we fought so hard not to hear.
