That Part Of Me Poem by Cody Adams

That Part Of Me

You comfort the part of me I know shouldn't exist.
I'm filled with hatred inside.
You know me when I lie.
But you know better than to try.
You tell me everything but what you should.
You could never love me just admit it.
I could-
I should-
But my mistakes make me unique.
It's all in your technique
Let him down slowly
Next day,
Depressed, why not take my life
Who else wants it?
It's not self-pity until someone finds out.
I write as my mind trails to suicide.
I cut to release the pain.
The reason is all my own.
Do the world a favor and leave me alone
Why lead a life full of people that could never love you.
So forget anyone who thinks you can just 'be' a different person one day.
I was born with a void.
I'll die with even more.
Life is pain.
I'm done with pain.
