That's The Truth Poem by alex manson

That's The Truth

Rating: 5.0

Why does the truth have to “hide”,
Why can’t it be on the outside,
Why has honesty died,
Why is it so hard to find one in which to confide?
So many questions but what will the answer be,
Will it be a lie, will I see
Why can we state falsely so easily,
Why do I have so many inquiries?
Catch my pants on fire
I’ve told frequent lies
I’m a liar, liar
Let me fry.
The truth might hurt sometimes
But it’s better than to not know
Because betrayal kills the heart, ask mine
And the suffering takes so long to go.
Why does the truth have to be hidden,
Is prevention of anguish forbidden?
Don’t let the truth slip away
Your lies will catch up with you one day.
