That Simple Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

That Simple

That simple

Fell a jar, woman died
That simple

Now husband in the court
After long

Her toe’s wound came by fall
Fall of jar

Days and nights of doctor, medicines
No result

“Destiny” elders said, older days and elsewhere
Not Walmart

But this man, the husband, his wife dead, sues in court
After cause

World has changed, so have we, love turned hate and greed
Mistrust

Bag maker saves on bag; bag buyer saves on buy, and user, the injured
Falls and dies

Now husband…
