That Thought Poem by Brian Marion

That Thought

Have you ever had a thought,
That just made your day?

Is it that person in your heart,
Always making you feel that way?

Making the sun shine brighter,
Making your world go 'round.

She is my everyday remedy,
From her touch, scent and sound.

I pray for her before I sleep,
Knowing I'll see her in my dreams.

I would do anything for her,
Anything in the world by all means.

I can never stop thinking of her,
No matter where I end up going.

Even if it's the depths of Antarctica,
Her smile keeps my blood flowing.

Her name is engraved in my heart,
Never leaving it's rightful place.

Even if I go fight in stormy sands,
Her eyes give me a way to embrace.

Some say I'm looking too far behind,
My head is too far back in the past.

I say I'm looking at a hopeful future,
Her and I running forward real fast.

Running far away from what was then,
Starting a new for what could be.

Could you imagine where we could go,
A place where it's always you and me?

Like that starry night field,
Through a romantic train.

Or where the water falls lightly,
Like our first kiss in the rain.

It's our dream together,
We make it through our crossed hearts.

Let's make it special,
Like we had when we made a new start.
