The Actress Poem by Randy Resh

The Actress

THE ACTRESS

Wardrobe of characters
looming for blooming
within her bouillon
jewelry box

swimsuit model to boot
but born for the close-up shot

she is at her most genuine
as they ply superfluous makeup

ever becoming lines running
research rehearsals
exploring off set

yet she the consummate
Master of Moment

we run the wire
through her bra

slip the mic head between
breathing beatings of breast

to steady the trembling
She holds my wrist

playfully poking:

'...never happened before, now has this? '

well over a hundred shoots
under my swollen belt

five minutes before they call action
yet i am the one so nervous
