The Addiction Poem by Shannon daffsdffjk

The Addiction

The drugs, the pills, the silence
The creaking of the door
Buried cries of help
Are dying on the floor

So stop the world
Stop the lies
Make everything around you die

Puff and pass
Try your hardest to make it last
Inhale than exhale
Look, your hands, there turning pale

The pills, the pills, the pills
The pretty little pills
Pop them down
Decrease the mound

The world swirls
But your mind is blank
Pack it up, snort your crank

Broken memories make you who you are
And day, by day, the monster grows
Nothing can stop it
Feed it more sins
Because then and now
The monster lives
