The Adynamic Aspects Of Living Beyond Your Time Poem by Ted Sheridan

The Adynamic Aspects Of Living Beyond Your Time

Rating: 4.8

There are many different degrees to pain
Some pain is underlying and only slightly debilitating
Like that of a headache or a muscle cramp
Over time and with relaxation it will simply disappear
Some pain is chronic and we learn to adjust our lives accordingly
We either accept the aches and pains as normal aging
Or we medicate ourselves in order to deal with them
But one type of pain is beyond measure and comparison
It is that numbing pain in your heart and soul
That disconnects your nerve endings from your brain and body
And dismisses you as being moribund and unloved
It steals your visions and therein your dreams
Starvation sets in and you hunger for death
It becomes your closest friend and your final last breaths
It feeds you and feeds off of your distorted sense of reality
It writes your Last Will and Testament and solicits your thoughts
It punches your ticket and cashes in all of your chips
As its right to your claim of domain and absolute ownership
For you own nothing in the end….not even feelings
And feeling nothing is the greatest degree of pain I know….

Ouch, that is so harsh Ted. We don't have control over this do we? All we can do is hope fate smiles on you and sends you a real friend.
