The Aftermath.... Poem by Sylvia Frances Chan

The Aftermath....

Where are we going today?
we all together, together or alone?
we do not know where to go yet?
we do not know where to go?

we also do not know if we are going all together
whether we go together
whether we are going alone?

we, once a family
forever family
together
and all together
never alone.

The aftermath
of a beloved
who died recently
death is never planned
we all have been waiting
death oft comes unexpectedly

in every family
in ours either
because

man proposes, God disposes

West-Europe New Year's celebration
and from Aussie and the U.S.A
at her cremation
in the Far East
in South East Asian
Indonesia, Jakarta

we are saddest,
we bid farewell
from our loved mother, auntie,
sister, sister-in-law, all in the family

she has gone to Heaven
and she sits at God´s Right Hand

on earth, we do our best
as we can
we´ll add to God´s Plan
we do our best

death oft comes unexpectedly
in every family
in ours either
never forget:

Man proposes, God disposes....

Together or today, alone or tomorrow we are going somewhere but certainly we are not aware about. Where are we going actually? Where is our destination? Many questions come into mind. This world is our family. We all are family members. We shall know that our destination is God and not the matters which perish with time. We have to cherish divine beauty, joy and bliss and peace. We shall perceive God's grace. A great-great timely treasured outstanding poem is penned.

Thank you so much for responding. My sister-in-law died on the 30th of December. She was cremated in the 3rd of January. Now-a-days christian are cremated either and the ashes pourred along the beach in Jakarta. The Cremation Center´s name wears the name HEAVEN. Bit ironic, no
