The Agape Poem by kobby godgift

The Agape

Love of everlasting quality-1
Your love You showered on Your heavenly beings for aeons
Love so abysmal and potent it could induce explosions
In the beings You so terrifically made
Till You decided to save Your profoundly loved ones
(From the very love that was upon them for ages laid
For it was for them to entirely keep when they could only contain but an ounce)
By making a top-notch creation
A masterpiece
Your chef-d'oeuvre
Man
To partake in Your awe-inspiring love of sorts
Yet before the creation of this ace
You made a deluxe abode of inestimable value with incomparable pace
That You filled with an astonishing array of fauna
And a seemingly endless display of flora
And then, You created him
The splendiferous creation with the aura
And with Your unflinching grace You handed over dominion of all You had created to him
You saw the deed accomplished
A Wight made out of interminable love
And lavished with more of that same love
A showcase of Your love that knows no bounds

Love of utmost depths-2
Man continued to dwell and grow in this boundless love
With Your magnificent eye of protection watching steadily from above
Till that day many light-years ago
When man decided to Your love forego
And side with Abaddon
The mastermind of all deceit and everything macabre
Who can only lead you too deep and far
Into damnation
But Your love was only reinforced
Instead of being shattered
As the devil had hoped and expected
For You are the God of love and You are love itself
And that is exactly what You portray
Man rebelled
The devil revelled
But You had plotted
A classic plan that the devil could not have seen in the wildest of his cunningly horrid dreams
Though You gave him a gist of it when You ostracised him from the land of beams
Eden
So there and then the carefully constructed plan
One of opulent salvation
Was set in motion

Unconditional love-3
Sin replaced the righteousness in man's heart
Darkness overcame the light in his eyes
Death overthrew the life in his soul
Man forgot You and waded in rebellion
And each time You drew him back artfully
Never once roving from Your principal plan
Giving him promises of great substance
And leaders of unequalled charisma
Yet these actions were only infinitesimal for You, our love-ridden God
For You saved the best for last
The ultimate shocker
The most selfless act of all time
One that makes ‘priceless' an immense understatement
When You gave Your own Logos
The Christ
Who inhabited Jesus and lived a short life of inspiration
The best thirty-three to ever come into existence
Miracles and doctrines that could only be born of love
To explain the very love
Then the people You came to save
Caused perfidy
That led to unparalleled agony and death
Death You did nothing to deserve
You carried the burden and shame
Of all who had been of old
Of all who were in your time alive
Of all who were to be born
Sin enough to cause destruction of all the galaxies
And yet You carried it all alone on the cross
And into the depths of the grave
To the delight of the dragon
Who thought it was all over and man would join him in damnation
And that is when the love was climaxed
By an occurrence of pure class and spectacle
(Which enraged the devil to a point of madness)
The only wonder of the world, way above the seven wonders, in a realm of its own
The Resurrection
When our Lord and Saviour Jesus the Christ
Rose again from the dead
With the best gift we could ever receive
A gift of resplendent grace
Salvation
But lo, the gift came with a package pyramid
A pyramid of sorts, greater than the pyramids of Giza
Health, riches, promises, wealth, peace, and a lot more
And at the very acme of this pyramid lies it
Life
Eternal and everlasting
Love at its very best
Only the Almighty could exhibit
For it is in Your core
And You are love itself in completion
For You, Almighty God are
The Agape
