The Annual Ritual Of The Gods Poem by Aiyudubie Charles

The Annual Ritual Of The Gods

Lost in the misery unknown
Between the battle of a god and the gods
Where the truth stands to be foiled
Like a leopard with an unchanged spot
They come with their fititious gospel
Offering to the god their prey an annual ritual
Sacrificing the future of my fellow comrades
The eagles are hovering and soaring
Over the sacrifice
Unwilling to accept this invaluable sacrifice
Alas! We are the prey
Punched upon year after year
Now an intermediary and no longer who we are
Oh combatants! My mortal enemy
The vasities are loosed
The union could not hold
Hmmm! Our pride fall apart
