“the Antidote Of Pains” Poem by aira olayvar

“the Antidote Of Pains”

Rating: 2.3

Lying alone on a dark and lonely room,
I’ve had but the sound of silence playing,
No one to talk to, no one will soothe.
Drowning by the tears of despair that flows down my pillow.

Reminiscing what life has been to me, I have seen problems,
Problems that seemed to forget the promises of solutions,
Feeling daunting, I ended up self- loathing.

Looking back to where I have been, to where I should be, and where I am today…
I have realized how good He is to me, the one who created me.
Gratitude fills in me and my loneliness flee.

Turning back on him, heads down…
Trusting him comforts me… I lay my rest in thee…
In thy loving kindness I am freeing my distress,
In thy mighty power never will I fail… never will I fear…
In thy greatness we were created and without thy mercy,
Nothing that has been made, should have been made.

Be with us oh God and guide us from above.
Our only hope, you are the only antidote of all our heavy rains,
In the midst of sorrows and pains.
