The Beast Looking For Light Poem by James Urwin

The Beast Looking For Light

Rating: 5.0

Hide away....make sure you lock all the doors tight,
the Beast is loose again, so please...stay in your homes tonight.

Pull your curtains... turn your lights down low,
from any lantern...be sure to not allow the Beast...to see the glow.

Avoiding the shadows, in its search of light.
Listen carefully to my words....and you may, just be alright.

Listen not...and you may only might.

It`s dressed in ways that good can never be,
hidden from all....until the light it does see.

Lost in shapes....figures of dark symmetrical dress,
only to the Devil.... does it to me,
the Beast...the Moth...confess.

Thanks Lyn(for all your comments) ...and I think Moths are great to, but some people are scared of them for some weird reason...hence the poem....To me they are the butterflies of the night, their beauty hidden from light...I can feel another poem coming on lol.

I read somewhere that the moth is literally tortured by the light it's attracted to. I forget the whole science behind it. Moths are great, tho Nicely done, Lyn
