The Beauty Poem by moon batchelder

The Beauty

i surrendered a thing quite precious to fall
so deeply in love with you, my friend.
such a forfeiture none had the right to call
their own, tho i gave with no pretend
this treasure unknown unto any before
you touched it, - a blatant ecstacy.
a wonderland almost for you to explore.
i knew your innermost fantasy.
a beast and a beauty together we two
fairytale creatures who ruled the night
if truth be told ever the beauty was you
my self was the beast, - your sheer delight.
