The Benevolent Joker Poem by Anil Kumar Panda

The Benevolent Joker

Benevolent joker at the trick
Humble, pious, and acts as a freak
Tottering around wooden rings
He weeps fake and a mournful dirge sings

Sometimes he has a heavy heart
When benevolent joker acts rough
He laughs twisting his lips
Through the days when life was tough

This benevolent joker jumps
From the nets and feigns hurt
The world has to laugh anyway
Whether he feels good or not

He hides his face in paints
And have to look funny
Even he acts a grandpa sometimes
At other he has to be a nanny

He cheers you up
When you feel rejected and low
His life is tougher than yours
He gets a few dimes for a show

But he won’t ever retire
And make you laugh and roll
Enjoy his act and don’t regret
When in your pocket he makes a hole
