The Best Way To Survive A Season Poem by Hebert Logerie

The Best Way To Survive A Season

If it is snowing and icy, and the temperature
Dropped below zero, think of Mother Nature;
In spring time, when the flowers are blooming,
The birds are chirping and the children are playing.

It is pouring hard, raining cats and dogs, and vice versa.
Your feet are wet and damp, and you need a new umbrella;
Imagine that it is summertime; the sky is splendidly blue,
A nice breeze is blowing and the air is as sweet as honeydew.

The lake is almost dry; most of the water is evaporated,
The bamboo trees are sweating, and the crickets are calcinated.
Pretend that the leaves will be sleeping on the ground soon,
And we’ll be able to jump and stump on them, under a clear moon.

Only the evergreen tree in the back yard looks good and fresh.
Everyone is sneezing, due to the allergies. If you strike a match,
The whole city will be ablaze. We all wish that we could skate,
On the lake. It is a shame that we all will experience the same fate.
