The Bible’s Clear

The bible’s clear about God’s laws
Life’s precious don’ts and do’s
Yet masses close eternal doors
Walking the way they choose

With no regard to God on high
We tread life’s road in vain
We play the fool we cheat and lie
And die the death of Cain

We know what’s right we know what’s wrong
The past has made it clear
Yet still we sing the same old song
Believing nought to fear

Is God a clown, a fool of fools?
Behind His staunch façade
Giving commands laying His rules
For man to disregard

Its hard to change a sinful mind
Where truth has little share
When self continues walking blind
In constant need of prayer

We need to tell the devil “No”
Leave prompt his evil bed
Receive our fill of Heaven’s flow
Eating Life’s daily Bread

Before our finger points to blame
This truth should first be known
We must ourselves be free of shame
Before we cast a stone

We need to love we need to pray
Consider Heaven’s grace
Allow God’s Spirit show the way
That all may see His face

COMMENTS OF THE POEM
Dr John Celes 22 February 2009

Good theme and well-written verses. Despite the Bible's clarity, people read it and interpret it to suit their many habitual sinful ways! God's Words are indeed very clear.Man must be pure to enter heaven. regards, dr john celes
