In life’s incessant din
As I search for peace within
Lone spaces I desire
And stillness I adore
Then silence is my mate
And noise is what I hate
Closing my eyes to the outer space
A window opens to my inner space
I begin to find solace in my solitude
And look up to Heaven in gratitude
Enriched with visions pleasurable
I enter into a realm so delectable
The vault of Heaven gemmed and bright
And the Earth and sea overwhelmed in light
The disquiet within me subsides
An unassailable calm slowly descends
I hear a caring voice from somewhere
A faint voice quite reassuring, so near
Then within me the Wider Life emerges
And the lesser life finally submerges
I experience what is true joy and content
And I am so sure it is heaven sent
Oh! What solace is in my solitude!
And how I move into near beatitude!
Price of the presence A window opens to my inner space I begin to find solace in my solitude And look up to Heaven in gratitude
Price of the presence A window opens to my inner space I begin to find solace in my solitude And look up to Heaven in gratitude
These are the truest of words and the answer to one's peace. Beautifully written and felt, and also a great reminder for those times that descend on us all.. and how to handle those moments... Thanks for this excellent poem.

Solitude provides an opportunity of deep thinking and it's thinking that is in someway associated with God............10
The search for peace ends once we rest in the heavenly peace. Your poem beautifully reminds us where to fine bliss. Excellent. Great write. I enjoyed it!
I have swept the heavens but not found a God.........but still my mind and know that I am God.......is what this poem is............. very heavenly........Valsa...........very nice reading.......God bless u.......
Excellent. That truly is the blissful solitude that you are able to achieve when your mind is otherwise quiet. Thanks for drawing my attention to this lovely poem. I failed to quieten my mind [ MY poem 'Let Me BE Me' ] and am denied this bliss.
Like Wordsworth's Daffodils 'the bliss of solitude' is cherished by poets and all thinking minds. You could recognize the wider life and the lesser life in solitude, your feelings are shared, dear Valsa ma'am.

Wonderful! Besides your talents in adoring the beauty of Nature, you are more capable on writing about philosophical ideas. Lines 7 and 8 are extraordinary. The whole poem assures solace to restless minds. Excellent.
