The Blue Whale Tale Poem by Gunardi Santoso

The Blue Whale Tale

In the sea of crystal clear, little blue whale got lost. Young and unwise, he took the risk without considering the cost.
Who could blame him, mesmerized by something sublime? Who could blame him, being playful in his time?

You shall not be here, for you belong to freezing sea. You have to reckon, turn your way and flee.
So they said, night and day. So they said, night and day. So they said to (not little) blue whale.

Blue whale gazed the far end sky everyday. He acknowledged his existence and turned his way.
“I shall direct my path to the freezing sea”, so he said. He believed in what they said.

Eventually, never he reached his destination. Fuming inside, he started to believe that life was an illusion. “There is no completion, just a package of alternations”.
Night and day he stayed. Night and day he (tried his best) prayed. A wandering soul, embedded with confusion.

There was one moment in his loneliness, a memory emerged. Little blue whale image was pictured in crystal clear sea:
Little blue whale was young and unwise but he revealed his own utopia. Though crystal clear sea had never been perfect, it was a haven sanctuary. Little blue whale was never lost.

Blue whale swam in his thought. He embraced his consciousness and felt flawless.
'I have to stop questioning my existence as so they said and set my own direction as so my heart said'

Blue whale rested for the night. A new journey would soon begin.
