The Blues

  When we listen to music
There are so many genres
Hip-hop, classical, jazz
Let us not forget the blues
Artistic expressions
Sometimes confessions
Confessions of love and pain
Music, composition, melody
Gives so much gain
To help us relax and celebrate
Sense of hearing, what a blessing
To most, I’m only guessing
The sound of the blues can sedate
Whether it’s early or late
The holler, repetition, cries
Get messages across
Whether still, or moving your thighs
