The Body Poem by francesca zumbo

The Body

I believe in Holy Moments
I believe in the spirit that resides in all of us
And I believe in the heart and the soul.
I believe in the hope that pours out of our eyes,
And I believe in the strength that fills our bodies and enables us to levitate to a higher wisdom.
I believe in the illusions that mask the world of its beauty
I believe in the fearless who are able to tackle those facades
I believe in the revelation of truth.
I believe in Nature in all its forms
I believe in rough edges and smooth surfaces
I believe in the connection that myself and you share, and the energy of the universe that keeps us tied together.
I believe in the procreation of life, and the relationships that are formed.
I believe in the Mother as my nurturer and the Father as my protector
I believe in the absence of the Mother and the Father and the void in which that abandonment creates.
I believe in forgiveness and the power of a healed past, in which light is able to shine on a cleansed future.
I believe in the compassion that drives us and opens our eyes to a wider understanding where we welcome acceptance and cast our vision beyond labels.
I believe in hearing your voice
The voice is the melody of your spirit, and I believe in the spirit as the messenger of truth.
I believe in individual surrender to ones self and purpose
I believe in the crises of the world and the great depth to which we plummet as a powerful source of redemption.
I believe in the phoenix rising, and the ash from which he came as a steady reminder
I believe in our hands as an integral part of nature through which we break chains and are allowed to walk hand in hand with our equals.
I believe in our eyes as the transcendence of our souls, and the sparkle in the middle of them as our candle we use to light the way on the path that we are following,
Which we will keep aflame as long as our souls are dancing
I believe in the wholeness of our humanness, and a fulfilled journey
I believe in the union of you and me.
I believe in Freedom as the great teacher who shines light on those that repress and resent
I believe in the sun that breaks through the land
I believe in the shadow stretching out far behind you, and the beauty of your silhouette at dawn
I believe in the vibrations of my heart upon the static of your skin, and the reaction that flows through my fingertips to my lungs
I believe in catching my breath with each glance at your face, for which there are no words but only vivid images, where even the softest of falling snowflakes does not match the power of your intense fragility.
I believe in Love as the door to which all possibilities are open
Where beauty is limitless, and the illumination of God is within you and me
Where life begins and ends
Where we are not afraid
Where we merge as one and flow through the waters of greed together, sifting out hatred and touching the palms of our hands against a pure surface
Where a cleansed body lies above and beneath
The body is you and the body is me
The body is the infinite creator,
The body is the divinity of earth, and me right now looking into your eyes.
The body is this moment, and every other moment happening.

Again, maybe there's a better title for it? But the words are very powerful and full of messages. Thanks
