The Bouquet Of Flowers Poem by David Taylor

The Bouquet Of Flowers

Rating: 4.5

Did you see the bouquet of flowers
tied to the railings at the side
of that lonely bend
on the road to heavens end
placed there some time ago
and withered dry, though wet with snow
that road which winds on by
now has an end in this minds eye
and those withered flowers
speak of heartbreak, lonely hours
and memories of a cherished bloom
that faded, all too soon.
