The Branches Of Life Poem by Katherine Graven

The Branches Of Life

Rating: 5.0

Trees of life has many combinations
How does one choose the way
For in every instance
Branches give away

Does one know themselves’ well enough
To follow a so called calling
With only blinded intuitions
Guiding them into mystified obscurities

Will the thing of wanting to please
Make life’s journey displeasing
Sending one along the twisted twigs
Of life’s broken promises

Branches of Life are taken in stride
And good intentions are stolen
As selfishness takes control
Due to human manipulations

When it is said and done
When the branches are thick and long
Will one look back on life
Desiring to right the wrongs

This Journey is an upward climb
Filled with thick greenery
Only blanketing your denying eyes
From the arms of your own immortality…
