The Bright Lights Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

The Bright Lights

Wild and carefree is she,
Smiling for all the world to see.
Gaily dancing,
Making innuendoes with her large
Sparkling eyes.
Flashing that smile,
Getting rhythm from all the guys.
But behind closed doors
Removes the mask and
Cries in solitude for her lost love.
