The Brightest Moments Poem by Joel Baldwin

The Brightest Moments

I walked in a field of roses
And got bitten by the thorns
Love ain't easy
It makes me queasy
But I'm trudging right along
Searching, seeking
A fresh start
Even though
I've been torn apart
Put myself together,
I'll keep going forever
Time will end my life
But life is just beginning
Lost without my angel
I seek to be reborn

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Broken hearts inspire some of the best poetry. I wrote this one on 3/11/14, and i spontaneously came up with it. It's dedicated to everyone with a broken heart. A good friend inspired it.
