The Candle
Tonight the candle will burn
Till it consume itself in it
But, for whom will you burn to the ground?
For whom will you shed your tears?
You will dazzlingly shine tonight
Nothing like I ever come to know
But you will be devoured
With nothing left to burn again.
Bequeathing lights and comforts
Guiding other in their dithering life
But don’t you realize
You are ebbing with every day gone by.
