The Chosen City Poem by Joan E. Prussia

The Chosen City

Oh Jerusalem, how sweet is your breath as you awaken
From the slumber of your separation, for the Master
Awaits your loving eyes that once beheld Him yet was
Rejected, but now finally recognized for He has not
Forgotten that you are the jewel that will in the
Time assigned, shine brightly as the Light of the World
Descends upon the mountain which receives His pierced feet
Peace then comes at last, for it belongs to the Chosen city
Which the King of Kings appointed from the Beginning
The saints and angels sing now in the Glory of He
Who is called the True and Faithful One
Warriors then lay down their swords forever
As children walk among the flowers
That like the little ones, will
never cry or die again......
