The Clock Strikes 12 And The Moment Is Gone Poem by Seairra Kyger

The Clock Strikes 12 And The Moment Is Gone

Rating: 5.0

A crooked smile
Life of a person
Sitting in denial
Depression of spirits
A song screamed
Silence
Can you hear it?
A contradictive criminal
A hottly hero
Forgotten now is
The sidekick stuck
In the corner
Does the hero know
That he will soon mourn her?
Lovers and backstabbers
Listen closer hero
A heartbeat fades
The town is
All in cadavers
Friendships are severed
Hearts are broken
A hero has fallen…

i really liked this poem. It took a few readings, as many with depth do. It read a little like sylvia plath, a bit sad, resigned and nostalgic for something that is not yet lost, but ultimately will be. Beautiful. Thanks for posting, and thanks for asking me to read it, im glad i did xx
