The Cold Poem by Nephthys Of Night

The Cold

A cold you can't sweat out
I thought i new what they were talking about
god i was so wrong
you can run
till you puke
till you cant move from the pain
when your on the ground
trying to drag air in
opening your mouth
trying to drink in the falling sea
all you can see is your breath
and the stars. Just trying to
breath
forget
Be normal
forget the sorrow
and hate
and sadness
Just trying to feel the burn
I'n my stomach
Trying not to think
About the cold
I'n my chest
you can't though
No matter how hard
My stomach is retching
I cant forget
Cant warm anything inside of me
and you dont know what im doing
Dont see me on the ground
I'n this frozen may air
In the downpour
Screaming in the dark
maybe if you new
you would stop crying
Cherie
I wont ever slit my throat
Hang for my ghosts
Lay down and wait for the train
I wont leave you like she did
I'll be waiting for you
when ever you need me
I just wanna see
your easy smile
One last time
