The Colossus Poem by Joyce Hemsley

The Colossus

Back in the nineteenth century
the sheer genius of Charles Babbage,
brought to the world much cheer, for
he was the first British computer pioneer
and paved the way for another genius
Thomas Flowers, to invent the first
electronic computer 'The Colossus'.
Today we thank two gentlemen of
the highest intellect, honouring them
with thanks, reverence and respect.
