The Colour White (On Mahatma Gandhi) Poem by Rajesh Thankappan

The Colour White (On Mahatma Gandhi)

Rating: 5.0

The colour white hides
Within its hides
Shades so different
Of which our eyes are ignorant!

I caught sight
Of a man in pure white
Who strolls down to us from History
And completes this story.

Purity, Innocence, Wholeness and Completion (from your poet's note) . The colour - White, associated with all the precedent qualities, including Mahatma Gandhi, it can only picture: Spirituality (not religion) , in the background of my mind. A well pictured poem.
