The Common Daisy Poem by Micron

The Common Daisy

Rating: 5.0

I’m found in many an English garden lawn
My straight sleek stem slightly thick and tall
Slight soft gentle white fur my stem does adorn
Catching sparkling dew diamonds in the morn
With waxy plump crisp green leaves for fun
That glow like rich emeralds sparkling in the sun.
My delicate head is soft powdery yellow inside
With a crown of white petals worn with pride
I stand there alone my beauty shining through the grass
Like a glowing stars in the dark velvet night we pass
Delicate beautiful pure jewels parts tinted pink
Next time you see me stop admire and think
I am but a simple common flower
I may be small but my beauty does tower.
