The Country Faces Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

The Country Faces

When will I become bondage free?
Will these politicians flee?
Will this country regain old fame?
The country can’t withstand any more blame

It was so far established rule
The country witnessed one had role
So many scandals rocked the nation
The corruption was considered top most occupation

Thank God to the vigilant judiciary
The third eye was necessary
It brought to the book many culprits
The jail was considered as fittest place

The country’s pride is hurt
When politician start
Accusations and counter accusation
As if parliament has become safe refuge for accommodation

Let my parliament be free from such scoundrels
The country is affording almost free meal
Still they want more as poor people face starvation
The farmers commit suicide whereas most of the parts face problem of reservation
