The Covenant’s Promise

We live a while and when we’ve slept
We wake before God’s throne
With joy they’ll have God’s promise kept
Who’ve changed from flesh and bone

We have a promise made on high
The world may think absurd
God’s covenant with those who die
Believing in His word

Regardless how or not we feel
In spite of what we see
Who trust God’s Son and Lamb is real
Receive His guarantee

Through faith placed firm in Jesus Christ
Who heals and bears our pain
We trust we too were sacrificed
In Him to rise again

God’s guarantee is sealed in blood
His guarantee to life
His Guide to walk the way we should
As Jesus’ chosen wife

The Holy Spirit is His name
Our Counsellor supreme
Baptised within His mighty Flame
We’ll drink from Heaven’s stream

If Jesus finds us walking dead
And tends with oil and wine
We’ll eat The Master’s Living Bread
The Tree of Life Divine

From wayward sin best turn about
From Satan’s chains be free
But fools will die still plagued with doubt
And selfish blind won’t see
