My Grandfather lived in Alaska for a period of time (YEARS AGO) and I always think of him when I read this poem, he introduced me to it and I have since memorized it. (Report) Reply

My Grandfather used to read this to me as a small child. Whenever I read it, it takes me back to him. What a wonderful thing. (Report) Reply

This is my favorite poem ever written! My father read it to me many times as it was his favorite too. Thanks Dad for introducing me to Robert Service. (Report) Reply
