The Crocodile - Poem by Georgios Venetopoulos

The crocodile
listens to Rachmaninoff
once in a great while.

For a longer time
harks to Muzio Clementi
sipping Evian-lime.

Enjoys dressed in style
Luigi Cherubini
by the river Nile.

The sea-gulls compile
arias of Caruso for
the crocodile.
