The Dark Corner Poem by Cody O'Hara

The Dark Corner

In the house there I sat

Not making a sound
Yet silence bellowed all around

In the room there I sat

No light there to guide
My eyes ever closed, trying to hide

In the corner there I sat

All alone and cold
Always forsaken, not a soul left to hold

In the dark there I sat

Without a ray of hope
The darkness is now my deathly cloak
