The Dark Side Of The Moon Poem by Laurence Overmire

The Dark Side Of The Moon

Half-man, Half-beast
Centaur-like
He contradicted himself
Striving for moral certitude
Heavenly thorns pricking bovine loins
The blood of an unholy sacrifice
Dripping from unclean hands
Soiled in primitive earth
No washing of spiritual waters
Could cleanse a militant heart
Baptized in the fires of an ancient cataclysm
The primordial conjunction
Of misaligned atoms

Forever
..Colliding
....Spinning
......Counter clock

Wise
The unraveling of a
Disenchanted
Myth.
