I forget the difference between dark and light
I watch the change between day and night
I watch the sun come and then go down
But it all feels wrong when you're not around

The sun doesn't compare to the sparkle in your eye
The closest thing to your golden heart is the calmness in the sky
I look up above to try and bring the memories back
I try so hard to see you but all I see is black

I used to see stars whenever you'd come near
Now when I look up at the sky, the clouds always appear
And I used to be so happy whenever you was around
Now whenever you walk past I look down at the ground

The day you walked away from me, you took away the stars
The day you walked away from me you left me with these scars
The day you walked away from me you took away the sun
The day you walked away from me the pain had just begun
