I didn't want to see the day
When you would go away
Because in my heart
The pain will always stay

But I knew that it was coming
I was just in denial
Because in my heart I knew
I would lose my smile

I've come to love you very much
You were a part of my everyday
I dreamed about you often
In a million different ways

No one has ever touched my life
The special way you have
I felt so connected to you
It always makes me so very glad

That in this life of mine
I was blessed with the chance
That you and I were able
To share more then a dance

The memories of you are many
They always make me smile
I only wish I had one more chance
To hold you for just a while
