The Debtor Poem by Joel Aboderin

The Debtor

Rating: 4.0

My brother from another Mother
I want to lend you as you have asked
But for your other brothers
They shed more tears than you can feign
How I pitied their wretched souls
Their stories could not be farther from falsehood
But honesty did they lack
Where is my shillings I asked
They promised tomorrow they had refund
But tomorrow never came
I want to lend you as you have asked
But for your brothers.
